Play-Based

We know children learn best through play—in fact, most of what they learn in the early years happens naturally through exploration, movement, and joyful discovery. That’s why play is at the heart of everything we do.

Nature Focused

We’re committed to getting children outside and into nature. Whether exploring on campus or venturing out on a nature field trip, we value time in the great outdoors—where children move freely, observe closely, and connect deeply with the world around them.

Reggio Inspired

Our educators observe and document children’s play and thinking to better understand and support their learning journeys. The environment is thoughtfully designed to invite exploration, collaboration, and creativity. We view children as capable, curious individuals—and we walk alongside them as co-learners, guides, and partners in discovery.

The Reggio Emilia Approach guides our work with children. In our context, this means children have a voice from the very beginning. The curriculum grows from their interests, questions, and interactions with the world. We see the classroom as a space for shared inquiry—where multiple perspectives are welcomed and respected.

Spanish Enriched

Every classroom has at least one Spanish-speaking teacher who uses songs, fingerplays, and everyday routines to help kids learn and develop the Spanish language. Whether your child speaks Spanish at home or is just starting to learn, we celebrate bilingualism and the vibrant culture that makes our Albuquerque community so special.

Free PreK

Children who turn 3 by September 1 are eligible for our PreK classrooms, which are free for all children regardless of income.

While fully meeting state PreK learning requirements, we stay true to our play-based, nature-focused, and Reggio-inspired approach—ensuring every child learns through exploration, creativity, and connection to the natural world. Families with children enrolled in our younger classrooms enjoy the benefit of an automatic spot in PreK when their child turns eligible.

Infants enrolled at our sister organization, Wildflowers Day Nursery, automatically have a spot at Elevation when they turn two—setting them up for seamless enrollment in our high-quality, free PreK program when they reach age three.

Nationally Accredited

We are proud to be nationally accredited through NECPA (the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation), a recognition of our commitment to high standards in early learning. In addition, we are rated 5 stars—the highest possible—by the New Mexico Early Care and Education Department.
